Mrs. Mary J. Frist, an estimable lady of Helt Township, departed this life on last Tuesday, January 27, 1891. Her death was caused by consumption. Her funeral did not occur untii Sunday in order that her 2 sons, Samuel and Joseph, the former located in Oklahoma City and the latter at El Paso, TX, might be permitted to be present. Two sisters from Chester, PA, the former home of the deceased were also present. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Wright, was attended by a large concourse of mourning friends and relatives. The deceased was a woman of such blameless life, that she left not an enemy in the world. She was a sincere Christian and a devoted wife and mother. She leaves a husband and 7 children to mourn her loss. She was 56 years of age.
