Michael J. Paulus, age 73, originally of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away at Woodland Hospice Center, located in Pinellas County, Florida, on Thursday, July 14, 2011 in the early morning.
Mike was the second son born to Richard "Ole" and Marion Paulus, deceased owners of Keller Tool and Machine Works (no longer in business) in Eau Claire. Mike spent eight years serving in the U.S. Navy, and worked several years in Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls area before relocating to Florida in 1979, where he eventually retired from employment with the Pinellas County Government.
He is survived by his daughter and grandchildren, Lisa Paulus, Jeffrey Mendoza, and Juliana Mendoza, respectively of Largo, Florida; by his older brother, Richard "Dick" Paulus of Chippewa Falls, WI; his sisters, Marlene Peterson of Chippewa Falls, WI and Carol Morris of Rickman, Tennessee.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jeanette Brunson.
A Catholic funeral service will be held in Eau Claire, WI.
Visitation 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church for those who wish to pay final respects.
