Mrs. Archie Avery, 54, of 2009 Lincoln avenue, Two Rivers, died Thursday at the municipal hospital there where she had been a patient for the past five weeks. She had been in ill health for a long time.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon from the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home at Two Rivers. The Rev. W. G. Haase will conduct the services at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Forest View cemetery.
Mrs. Avery, nee Ernestina Grosse, was born in New London, Wis., on Nov. 3, 1884. Thirty-five years ago she married Archie Avery in Manawa and the couple resided there for some years. After that they lived at Nashville, Jeffries and Antigo. They have resided at Two Rivers for the last 15 years. Mr. Avery has been in the hospital for about the same length of time as Mrs. Avery and is still a patient there.
Survivors besides the widower are one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Harmon, Two Rivers; four sons, Virgil and Earl of Two Rivers, and Donald and Loren of Manitowoc; one sister, Mrs. Amelia Stern, New London; and seven grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home Saturday and up until the time of the funeral.
