Mr. Jerry Dean Wallin, 78, Of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2015. He was born June 28, 1937 in Egypt, the son of Harry and Mrytle (Escue) Wallin.

Mr. Wallin was a farmer, and a member of the Hoxie Church of Christ. He absolutely loved farming, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Wallin was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Ian Hoskins; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy (Rudd) Wallin of the home; two daughters, Renee Privett of Weiner, and Chandra Householder of Alamo, Tennessee; one sister, Rosalie Statler of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Ashley Hoskins, Amanda McCoy, Kara McQuay, and Clayton Ruesewald; and three great-grandchildren, Madison McCoy, Mason McCoy, and Penelope Hoskins.

Friends may visit at the funeral home, Tuesday, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Weiner Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Richard Alls, Brennan Alls, Tyler Alls, Todd Statler, Gene Davis, and Harvey Reid. Honorary pallbearers are Ben Henry and Jack Rice.
