Funeral services for Stephen Dvorak, 90, of 3517 Tannery Rd., retired Town of Two Rivers farmer who died shortly before noon Friday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, the Rev. J.J. Roehrdanz officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery.
Mr. Dvorak was born Nov. 2, 1872, in the town of Mishicot, son of the late Wenzel and Mary Shimonek Dvorak. He married the former Mary Sladkey at Manitowoc April 17, 1898, after which the couple settled on a farm in the Town of Two Rivers. His wife died at Two Rivers 19 years ago, three years before he moved in retirement to Two Rivers.
Mr. Dvorak served as clerk of the Oakland School District in the Town of Two Rivers. He was also an early member of the old Two Rivers Equity Exchange which became the Twin Rivers Cooperative. He was also active in the Equity Livestock Shipping Assn.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Otto J. Sporer, of Rt. 1, Mishicot, and Mrs. George Bernhardt, on the home farm in the Town of Two Rivers and a grandchild. Five sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
