Funeral services for Jackie Buck, 80, of Gilbert will be held 3 pm Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church, Gilbert, with Rev. Larry Eubanks, Rev. Bobby Ensminger and Rev. Garry Allen Jones officiating. Interment will follow in South Central Cemetery, Wisner, under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 am until time of service.
Mrs. Buck was born January 5, 1935, in Wisner to the union of George David and Lessie Ensminger Bass and passed from this life on July 19, 2015, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
Mrs. Buck was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a retired bus driver and beautician; she was also an active Mary Kay Consultant.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Buck and sister Georgia Smith.
Survivors include five children: Cathy Beach and husband Darrell of Wisner, Keith Holloway of Wisner, Renee Jones and husband Garry of Pineville, Karen Holloway of Gilbert, and Sammi Shafer and husband Jerry of Monroe; seven grandchildren: Cassi, Haley, Kara, Taylor, Seth, Joshua, and Brittanie; five great grandchildren: Cason Paul, Cadence, Kennedy,Hazel Grace and Atticus; four sisters: Patricia Martin and husband Wayne of Springfield, Stella Sadder and husband Wayne of Deville, Gayle Carter and husband Roy of Metairie, Dee Barfield of Gilbert; one brother David Bass and wife Lou of Simsport; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Guy Barfield, Jay Barfield, Andrew Beach, Ronald Beach, Brandon Box, Rusty Carroll, Josh Holloway, Seth Jones and Tyson Payne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Aucion, Cason Beach, Darrell Beach, Micah Beach, Mike Devilleir, Bobby Emfinger, Garry Jones, Travis McFarland, Jerry Shafer and Grady Stephens.
