Valerie L. Ogren, age 56, of Hayward, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015.
Valerie was born on August 23, 1958 in Hayward, Sawyer County, Wisconsin, to Warren and Vivian (Pfister) Ogren.
She was raised in Hayward and graduated from Hayward High School with the class of 1976.
Valerie spent the majority of her life in Bloomington, Minnesota, working in the mortgage industry for many years. In 2010, she moved back to Hayward and became a member of the Hayward Wesleyan Church.
Val had a loving heart and spent her life devoted to the service of others. While still residing in Bloomington, she volunteered at a battered women shelter, and would continue on her path of helping others in the Hayward area. She spent time volunteering with the Humane Society, Ventures Unlimited, and many more. She was an avid reader and biblical scholar. She also loved spending time in nature and with her beloved pets, Baby and Foxy.
Valerie is survived by her son, Christopher Toolsie and his significant other, Allena Kuzemchak; a sister, Linda Graham; a brother, Keith Ogren; a nephew, Mathew Graham; a niece, Michelle Forester; and her best friend, Patty Dujardin.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Ogren.
A memorial service will be held on Wed. July 22, 2015 at the Hayward Wesleyan Church beginning at 1 p.m. There will be a time of gathering one hour prior to the service.
