MARYSVILLE -- Stanley R. Hardman, 90, recently of Marwood Manor, died Thursday, March 5, 1992 in Mercy Hospital. he was born Sept. 13, 1901, in Gilmer County, W. Va., and had been an area resident since 1926. He married Melissa Waddington, June 23, 1930.

Mr. Hardman retired in 1967 as principal of Marysville Junior High School. He had coached at Marysville High School for 20 years. he was a member of Marysville United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Marysville Lions Club and a member of Masonic Lodge 118 F. & A.M. in Gilmer County, W. Va. He was a former Marysville mayor.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Hardman of Marysville; a daughter, Barbara Ellen Richards of St. Clair Shores; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Sue and James Pletcher of Rockville, Md.; grandchildren, Paula Broek, Teresa Richards, Geoffrey, Eric and Lisa Pletcher and Susan Richards Dulany; one great granddaughter, Melissa Anne Broek; a niece, JoAnna Fenimore; three nephews, Russel, Tom and Don Westcott; and a sister-in-law, Rosella Westcott.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph T. Barteld of Marysville United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.
