BEBOUT IS DEAD AT HOME IN CANONSBURG --- Death Comes Suddenly After Return from Florida Where He Had Spent the Winter - Was Born Near Thomas -- Canonsburg, March 6. H. H. BEBOUT, aged 74 years, died this morning at 5:45 o'clock at his home in West Pike Street after a short illness of a complication of diseases. Mr. Bebout was a well-known resident and his death came as a complete surprise to his host of friends. He was spending the winter in Florida, but became ill there and decided to come north to Atlantic City. On his journey northward his condition became worse and he decided to come home, arriving in Canonsburg last Monday night. He had been confined to his bed since that time. Mr. Bebout, the son of PETER and ISABELLE COOPER BEBOUT, was born near Thomas Station on August 31, 1847, an spent the greater part of his life there coming to Canonsburg about 20 years ago where he had since resided. He was a retired farmer and a dealer in livestock. Mr. Bebout was married to MARY J. McMILLAN who survives him. He was a member of the board of directors of the Canonsburg Hospital an was active in affairs relating to that institution. He was also an active member of the first Presbyterian Church. In politics he was a Republican. Besides his wife, the following brothers and sisters survive: FRANK BEBOUT, of Monongahela, DAVID BEBOUT, of North Central Avenue; MRS. WEIR McNARY and MRS. WILL GREER, of Canonsburg. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late home, conducted by Rev. G. G. Kerr, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Chartiers (Hill) Cemetery.
