Floyd A. Spencer Dies at 59

Floyd A. Spencer, Port Huron, former Peck resident died April 10 in Marwood Manor, Port Huron, following a long illness.

He was born July 20, 1909, in Flint and married Miss Dorothy Dafoe June 30, 1932 in Sandusky.

Mr. Spencer was a farm implement dealer in Peck several years before moving to Port Huron in 1950 where he was a Kirby Distributor for St. Clair, Sanilac and Huron counties until his retirement due to illness. He was a member of Ross Memorial Bible Church, Port Huron. While in Peck Mr. Spencer was active in civic affairs and organized the Peck Lions Club.

Surviving are his widow, Dorothy; two daughters, Mrs. Neil Sergent, Spring Arbor, and Mrs. Donald Anderson, Taylor; two sons, David D. Spencer, Gladwin and Robert C. Spencer, Davenport, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. John Brown, Pontiac and Mrs. Alton Root, National City, Mich.

Rev. C. Fay Logan of Ross Memorial Church, assisted by Rev. Erwin Truinstra of Deckerville Baptist church, officiated at funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 14. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
