Harry W. Ames, 78, died Tuesday night at an Augusta hospital after a long illness. Mr. Ames was born at Wareham, Mass. July 21, 1873, son of Warren and Hattie Morse Ames. He had resided in Waldoboro and greater part of his life and was a cooper by occupation. Mr. Ames was a member of Maple Grange North Waldoboro. Surviving are a son, Guy Ames Waldoboro; a daughter, Mrs. Velma Larsen, Randolph, Mass., and two brothers, Leon, Cushing, and Leslie Ames, Connecticut. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday from the Flanders Funeral Home, with burial at the Oliver Cemetery.
