Dakota Thomas Bates, Age 5, of Mayflower, Arkansas, went to be with Jesus on Monday, July 20, 2015.

He was born March 3, 2010 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Johnny Eugene Bates, Jr. and Ashley Nicole Gwatney.

Dakota loved to ride horses, his bike and going fishing. He enjoyed watching Disney Movies and singing.

He is survived by his parents; brothers, Johnny Cole Bates and Bentley Charles Bates; grandparents, Michelle French (Kevin Stephens) of Mayflower, Dalena and Jeremy Adams of Conway, Arkansas and Johnny Bates, Sr. of Mayflower; and great-grandparents, Jim and Lois Thomas of Mayflower, Butch and Brenda Bates of Alexander, Arkansas and John and Anita Adams of Houston, Arkansas.

Other survivors include aunts Emily Foshee of Traskwood, Arkansas, Samantha Bates of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Carlen Bates of Searcy, Arkansas and Tamara Atelevich of Conway, Arkansas; Uncles, Corey Bates of Conway, Andrew Bates of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Derek Gwatney of Conway and Jacob Bates of Mayflower; along with numerous cousins and a host of extended family.

Funeral Services will be at 10 am Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Turner officiating.

Burial will follow in Mayflower Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Corey Bates, Andrew Bates, Jacob Bates and Derek Gwatney.
