Reinhard "Reinie" "Junior" Grimm, age 87, of Reedsville, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Reinie was born on the home farm on November 3, 1926 in the town of Maple Grove, son of the late Reinhard and Ella (Pautz) Grimm. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School, class of 1945. Reinie served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 10, 1954, he married Joan Torrison at St. Mary Catholic Church in Reedsville. This year, the couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Reinie and Joan bought the farm after his dad passed away, and operated it for 48 years. He also worked at the Brillion Iron Works for over 40 years. Reinie was a member of the American Legion Post 199 of Reedsville, the West Maple Grove Hunting Club, was retired from the Reedsville Fire Department, and was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church. He bowled and played sheephead, tended bar, watched the Packers and the Brewers, and loved his family. He always had a sparkle in his brown eyes and a smile on his face for anyone, and loved to give his grandchildren and great-grandchildren treats.

Reinie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan of Reedsville; their children and spouses: son, the late Perry Grimm, his wife: Cindy and their children: Travis (Becky) and Alicia Grimm and Kelly (Kyle) Baukneht; daughter: Candy "Trucker" (Dan) Rathsack of Kellnersville and their children: Christopher, Robin, and Kody (special friend Jen) Rathsack; daughter: Penny (John) Ourada of Merrill and their children: Ryan (Katie) Ourada and Ashley (JJ) Dippel; son: Curt (Julie) Grimm of Reedsville and their children: Courtney (special friend Colin), Marissa (special friend Ryan), and Riley Grimm; daughter: Stacey (Larry) Stelzer of Francis Creek and their children: Cordell and Belinda Stelzer; and daughter: Shelley (Mark) Reinemann of Hortonville and their children: Andrew, Mitchell and Ross Reinemann; three sisters: Fern Wolf, Doris Polzin, Karen (special friend Dennis) Blush one brother and four sisters-in-law: Ronnie (Lynn) Grimm, Verona Grimm, Helen Grimm, and Jean (Jim) Rathke; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Perry; two sisters and four brothers-in-law: Rose (Elmer) Kroenig, Ethel (Lester) Pautz, Albert Wolf, and Jim Torrison; two brothers: Vic and Lloyd Grimm; and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Timothy Nommensen with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Military rite will be accorded by the American Legion Post 199 of Reedsville.

Friends may call Tuesday evening, September 2, 2014 at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville, 15 7th Street from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
