CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Ervin G. Sabatke, 100, of Cupertino, Calif., died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, in a Lutheran nursing home. Inurnment took place on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Sabatke was born May 21, 1898, in Lowell, son of Herman and Rose (Zepp) Sabatke. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1917 and from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering in 1921. He was a World War I Army veteran, and retired in 1959 after 35 years with Commonwealth Edison Co., in Chicago, Ill. He was also a past master of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter, Gloria Salvorson of Nevada City, Calif.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Iva Roedl of Beaver Dam; and one brother, Ray Sabatke of Beaver Dam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; one son, Oliver Sabatke; and two brothers, Clarence and Hilton.
The Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, handled local arrangements.
