Funeral services for Ms. Gloria Jean Winn will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Oakdale First Baptist Church, with Reverends Hardy Estes and Michael McIntosh officiating.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery, Oakdale, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Ms. Winn, 80, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in her residence.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Mamie Jordan; her husband of forty three years, George “Jr.” Winn and her great granddaughter, Tori Ann Beassie.
Ms. Gloria was a longtime community, funeral home and nursing home hairdresser.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her son, Royce L. Winn Sr. and his wife Denise of Oakdale; her daughter, Sharon Winn Beassie and her husband Rocky of Powderly, TX; one sister, Frankie Dyer of Lake Charles; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Oakdale First Baptist Church and remain open until time of service.
