Funeral services will be held Thursday or Friday at the First Lutheran Church in Havre for Alf R. Skram a well known farmer-rancher from this area who died Aug. 13, 1978 at the Swedish Hospital in Seattle. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of services.

He was born Aug. 13, 1907 in Norway, coming to Havre in 1925, where he farmed and ranched since. In January 1938 he married Elie Aardal in Havre, who survives him.

About 15 years ago he retired and moved into Havre. He was a member and past president of the Sons of Norway, was a life member of the Elks and honorary member of the VFW and was a member of the Eagles and the First Lutheran Church. He was very active in community services and was especially well known for the barbeques he cooked for various events.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters Mrs. Maurice (Karen) Eggen, Mt. Pleasant, MI, and Mrs. Pat (Reidum) Pratt, Choteau, and one sister Mrs. Kristen (Gudrum) Kvien, Norway.

Memorials have been established to the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, the First Lutheran Church an the Cancer Society.
