During World War II, Clyde worked at defense plants. After the war, Clyde and Ola raised their children on a dairy farm in Southlake. He was the first president of the Southlake Carroll school board and instrumental in the beginning structure of Carroll ISD. Clyde also served as an elder in the church for many years. In 1971, Clyde and Ola retired from the dairy business and moved to Blue Ridge, where for 34 years he enjoyed his pond and woodworking.
Clyde was a strong Christian with impeccable morals and ethics. He was a great example for us all and why we have always been so proud of him. We feel very blessed to have had him in our lives.
