Born in Philadelphia, Richard was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the military with over 20 years of service to our country. He served as an aerospace engineer at the Naval Air Defense Center in Warminster for 38 years until his retirement in 1989.
Richard enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his family, going to the shore and traveling.
He was the husband of the late Gladys H. (Cook) Refsnyder, and will be sadly missed by his children, Joyce Dobish of Newtown, Pa., Janet M. Confer of Glenside, Karen J. Refsnyder of North Wales, Thomas Refsnyder (Kim) of Furlong, and James Refsnyder (Cathleen) of Feasterville; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Christine, Stephanie, Alex, Tristan, Justin and Marissa; a brother, Robert Moffa of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, July 30, at the Faust Funeral Home, Inc., 902 Bellevue Ave., Hulmeville, PA 19047, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday evening, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday morning. Interment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Washington Crossing, Pa.
