She was the second of seven children born to William Breeze and wife Elizabeth G. Price.

Lucy first married a man named I.A. Browder, in Missouri, where their first child named William was born (1847). They moved to Texas where three more children were born to them: James (1850), Isham (1854), and unknown name (1859).

After Mr. Browder's death and burial in Masonic Cemetery - now known as Pioneer Park Cemetery in downtown Dallas, Texas, Lucy married Hugh C. Caldwell.

After his death, she married Hugh Curtis Caldwell. They had daughter, Lucy "Lulu" Marion Caldwell, who married Joseph M.D.W. Wilson.

After Mr. Caldwell's death and burial in Long Creek Cemetery, near Dallas, Texas, she married a Mr. Futrell. He raised Lucy and Hugh's daughter, Lucy Marion Caldwell in his household at the Mesquite area just northeast of Dallas proper.

After Mr. Futrell's death, Lucy left Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas to live in the household of son, James P. Browder, at Gordon, Palo Pinto County, Texas. She was buried in the Browder plot, established by son James in the Gordon Cemetery.
