John Albers, a much esteemed farmer near Bendena, died last night of a throat trouble. He was 69 years of age, and left a wife and seven children. The children are Charley, Herman, Albert, John, Ed. And Will Albers and Mrs. Florence Fisher. All the children except Mrs. Fisher and Charley Albers have attended Midland college, and will be generally remembered. The deceased located in Doniphan county in the early 60s, and amassed farm land estimated at 2,000 acres. Considerable of the land is now owned and farmed by his sons.

John Albers, aged 69, died at his home near Bendena last Friday and was buried Sunday. The funeral was attended by a large crowd of friends and neighbors. Mr. Albers was an old settler and one of the wealthiest farmers in the county.

John and Caroline were the parents of Robert Alfred, Charles Mayne, Herman Gerhard, Sophia Margret, Florence, Albert Fredrick and John Carl.

He and Rosa were the parents of Mary Lucinda, William Christian, Edward Joseph, Alice Bertha, Ernest Martin, George Henry and Ruth Rosa.
