Services for Richard Absher, 69, of Rt. 11, Lufkin will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ira Bright will officiate and burial will follow at Pollok Cemetery.
Mr. Absher had resided in Lufkin since 1965 and was a retired service contractor. He ws a veteran of the U.S. Navy and WWII, and he was a member of the American Legion and Pollok Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife, Doris Absher; sisters, Debbie Watson and Clara Barnett, both of Austin and Lorene of Irving.
