Lee Blankenship
Final rites for Lee Blankenship,
58, Lynco, will be held at 11 a.m.
Tuesday in the Lillydale Church of
God with the Rev. Stollie Parsons
in charge. Burial will follow in the Cook
Cemetery at Lynco.
He died Saturday at his home following
an apparent heart attack.
Born Jan. 29, 1913, at Guyan he was the
son of the late Blackburn and Sarah
Brown Blankenship.
Survivors include a son, Harris of
Matheny; four brothers, Bruce of Clear
Fork, Frank of Marianna, Wayne of
Matheny and Herbert of Parkersburg,
a sister, Mrs. Eliza Banther of Lynco
and two grandchildren.
He was a World War II veteran.
The body will remain at Evans Funeral
Home in Oceana where friends may call
from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. today.
The body will be taken to the church
one hour prior to the funeral.
