"Rosella M. Pageler, 94 years, of Cedar Bluffs, NE died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Pathfinder Place in Fremont, NE. Rosella was born February 24, 1921 in Bertrand, NE to Max and Ella (Prange) Wickwire. She was a 1937 graduate of North Bend High School in North Bend, NE and attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont and received her teaching certificate. Rosella married William Pageler on May 26, 1942 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs. Rosella taught school in rural Dodge County and then taught for many years in Butler and Saunders Counties. William died February 26, 2006.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs and the Altar Society. She sang in the church choir and taught religious education classes.
Rosella is survived by son, Bill Pageler of Cedar Bluffs; daughter, LaRhea and husband, Con Schnepel of Treynor, Iowa; 2 grandchildren, Schon and wife, Heather Pageler of Plattsmouth, NE and their children, Zach, Olivia and Noah; and Steve and wife, Tana Pageler of Waverly, NE and their children, Ben, Joey and Caroline.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Eloise Pageler.
Funeral Mass 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs. Father Leo Seiker officiating. Rosary at 7:30 PM on Friday with visitation Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM and the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM all at the church. Visitation on Saturday 1 hour prior to service. Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery near Cedar Bluffs. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery and to the Cedar Bluffs Fire and Rescue."
