Kenneth K Powell was born on April 5, 1936, to Melvin and Violet (McDaniel) at Atoka, Oklahoma. His formal education was had at Atoka also.
Kenneth was a carpenter and retired from the Army Ammunition Plant there in the area. He also was owner and operator of KK ranch.
On February 8, 1959, in Hobbs, N.M. Kenneth married the love of his life, Penny Stark. Three children were born of this union. Two daughters Debbie and Tammy and one son Kenneth K. Powell.
His church affiliation was with the Ashland Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie Kinsey and husband John of Lehigh, Oklahoma; daughter, Tammy Powell of Lehigh , Oklahoma; grandsons; Rodney Wright and wife Miranda of Silo, Oklahoma plus Chance Smith and wife April of Filmore, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Memphis, Raiburn, Kayleigh, Rage, Case Smith and Khloe and Zane Wright. Also surviving Kenneth is his brother in law and his wife, Eddie and Vicki of Coalgate, Oklahoma. Other names added to this list are extended family members Jessica and Tyler Farling of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Jack and Liz Kinsey also of Oklahoma City. Casketbearers were his grandsons plus Andy Price, Melvin, Marlin Lee and Michael Powell. Honorary casketbears were Memphis Raiburn, Zane, Michael Wright , Rage, Case Smith, Kenny McIninch and Jerry Powell.
Family night was held Wednesday night July 29, 2015, from 6 to 8pm.
