Charles R. Dunn, 60, of Walthill died at his home on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Faith United Presbyterian Church in Walthill, with Pastor Harold Ross officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Walthill.
Charles was born June 22, 1951 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Lee and Grace (Davenport) Dunn. At a young age, his family moved to Walthill. He graduated from Walthill High School in 1969.
After graduation, Chuck worked at various places, including Omaha-Line in Walthill, Store More in Fremont, Valmont Industries in Valley and National C in Pender. For the past 16 years, he had been with Gerkin Windows in South Sioux City.
Charles enjoyed watching television and movies, playing video games and riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed his cats and cigars. He would often travel to his niece and nephews' events and enjoyed road trips to Colorado and Kansas City.
He is survived by three sisters, Patty McGhee and husband Don of Hartington, Sally Jasa and husband Tim of Lyons and Mary K. Marr and husband Larry of Walthill, and one brother, Steve Dunn and wife Rita of Walthill. He also is survived by six nephews, one niece, nine great-nephews and nieces, numerous cousins and aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
