He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on June 27, 1920, son of Joseph and Catherine Hentz, and came to Oshkosh with his parents in 1927. He was married in Atlantic City, N. J., to Dorothy Reisenweber on March 21, 1943.
Mr. Hentz was self-employed in sales and service in radio and television, and was past president and treasurer of the Television and Service Electronic Association.
He served with the Air Force during World War II and was a past commander of the local post of Catholic War Veterans. He was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church and the Nestor Club.
Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Anderson, Oshkosh; two sons, Ronald Hentz, Ouffutt Air Base, Neb., and Randall Hentz, at home; two brothers, Joseph (Ray) Hentz, Tucson , Ariz., and Louis Hentz, Oshkosh; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Kroll, Oshkosh, and Mrs. James Farrell, West Allis; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Sladek officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at Marquardt Funeral Home Monday from 5-8 p.m. Prayer service Monday will be at 7:30 p.m.
