Elizabeth A. ‘Betty' Ferry
Elizabeth A. "Betty" Ferry, 74, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at her residence in Martinsville. She was a former resident of Morgantown.
She was born June 2, 1927, in Indianapolis. Her parents were William and Mary (Rasner) Spilker. She married Albert J. Ferry on Aug. 20, 1951, in Greenfield. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Eva Jean Yurek of Bloomington, Kathy L. Forrester of Martinsville, Tammy J. Voils of Brown County and Becky R. Wrightsman of Martinsville; four sons, David J. and Bob A. Ferry, both of Nashville, Tom D. Ferry of Brown County and Billy L. Ferry of Martinsville; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Robertson; and four brothers, Delbert A., Lester W., Morris A. and Dale F. Spilker.
She was a homemaker and a 32-year member of Bean Blossom Baptist Church.
She enjoyed bowling and vegetable and flower gardening.
The Rev. James Brown will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Friday at Bean Blossom Baptist Church, 5858 Spearsville Road in Brown County. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
