Norman “Hinkie” White, 76 of 456 Pocosin Rd, died Saturday July 25, 2015 at Vidant Bertie Hospital. He was born in Bertie County on October 16, 1938 to the late Cecil and Vivian W. White. Mr. White was a truck driver working for himself for many years. He attended Askewville Assembly of God Church and loved to ride horses.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Windsor, NC. Rev. Allen White will be officiating the services. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Temple White; sons, Norman Lee White Jr., Willard Rodney White and wife, Bobbie Lynn, Cecil Dean White Sr. all of Windsor, NC, Roger Hughes and wife Janet of Prince George VA, and Ray Hughes and wife Tammy of Conway; daughters, Joyce White of Powellsville, NC and Maegan Rose of Windsor, NC; brother Thad White of Windsor and sister, Myrna Aultman of Lake Gaston, VA; grandchildren, Dallas Ray White, C.J. White, Joshua Hardison, Rachel Hughes, and Mellisa Differs.
Family will receive friends Monday, July 27th from 7-8:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home and at other times from 142 E Askewville St.
