Martwain Bernard Bellamy-Gregg, a Conway High School rising senior and star athlete #30 was born December 17, 1997 in Conway, South Carolina to Tameka Gregg and Jomar Bellamy. He departed this life at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee on July 7, 2015 to serve God.

He was a great role model, energetic, fun-loving, outgoing, athletic individual. He loved his family and he never complained about anything. If you asked him if he was okay or not feeling well he would say “I’m good”. Martwain’s love for football was outrageous as a young toddler. He would sit next to his grandad Brodus or dad and watch football games in complete silence. He learned the fundamentals of the game from his grandfather Brodus, whom later attended every game as his Coach Derk Derrick helped to develop his skills for the game. He was a star running-back for Conway High School.

He attended the Bethel SDA Church as a child until moving to Darlington, South Carolina which he then attended the Family Worship Center in Florence, South Carolina. He was a great leader, mentor and a friend to all. He always had a lot of friends and family members around. His childhood best friend and brother Jah-mine Martin was as he would say “his twin”. Anytime you would see Twain, Jah-maine was right there. He received a good morals award at the age of thirteen from the Darlington Middle School principle. He was taught bible scriptures and the importance of education by his grandmother Judith Sumpter Bellamy and was an accomplished honor student throughout his life.

Martwain leaves to cherish fond memories to his devoted and loving Mother Tameka (Antwan) Gregg-Johnson and his father, Jomar Bellamy; one sister, Jomeka Bellamy; one brother Jah-maine Martin; step-brother, Naekwon Singleton; step-sister, Natashia Singleton; five aunts, Takisha Johnson, Crystal Johnson, Tawana Gregg, Tangiela (Terrence) Counts, and Wanda (Tommy) Campbell; four uncles, Damond (Takisha) Davis, Jomaine Bellamy, Jerry Bellamy and Dexter Bellamy; grandparents, Brodus and Ruth Gregg, Elize Bellamy, Judy Sumpter; great grandparents, Rhudell Smith, Keller and Georgia Sumpter; step-grandparents, Lavern and Mary Johnson; a host of classmates, relatives, and other sorrowing friends.
