Daughter of Charles Franklin Lindsey and Kizar Waller. 1st wife of Julius Langley, 2nd wife of Harold Boyles,, 3rd wife of Winston Shaw Randall.

This lady was one of a kind, the mold was broken when she was made for sure. She was a very special person.
She loved animals, especially cats. She loved cats more than anyone I have ever known. She would not turn any cat away that was looking for a home or something to eat. Even if she had to do without to care for it.
And she had a memory you would not believe. My sister, Patricia and I went to live with her and her last husband, Winston, when I was about 10 yrs. old. I stayed with them until I was 14 yrs. old, Patricia stayed a couple more years longer than I did. I still went back for visits. We would stay up, sometimes all night long, listing to her stories about the people she knew from years ago. I just wished I could remember all those stories she would tell. I didn't inherit her memory. She even told us stories of The Civil War, Of course she did not live in those times, but it was stories that her Grandma Overstreet would tell her when she was just a child. She told us a lot about the Overstreets, but I can't remember them now. I wished I could. On the Overstreet Web Site you can find an article about her by: Greg Smith:. He described her pretty good. Greg interviewed her when he was researching the Overstreet family. The interview is below. Vicky, has greatly been missed by everyone that ever knew her.

A MOST INTERESTING INTERVIEW

Within the past year I've had the privilege of visiting with a most interesting person. One whom I never dreamed had such an amazing knowledge of the Overstreet Family. She is Victoria Randall of Petal, Mississippi, and is a great-grand daughter of
Braswell Overstreet of Wayne County, Mississippi. As a girl growing up in Wayne County, she lived with her grandmother Lucy (Overstreet) Waller. She said, "Granny Waller told me stories of the Overstreets and Lees many times." I take pleasure in sharing part of the interview with you. Bare in mind, this is only according to tradition, however, I believe the knownfactscoincide&127;&127; with the following.

"Granny Waller's father Braswell Overstreet was the son of Braswell Overstreet who came from the O____ (she could not think of the name) Swamp in Georgia. Granny Waller's father had brothers, John, Tom, Jacob, and James. A sister may have married a Taylor, and another sister may have married a Blackledge. I don't recall one who married a Malone. (I asked her if a sister married a Malone.)
Granny's father had a cousin Patsy who married John West and Sam Lee. I think her father was John Overstreet. Dolly West, Frannie McNeil, and Cal Overstreet, who I knew were grandchildren of another John Overstreet. He was a cousin of Braz, but not close. He was from North Carolina, Robeson County, I think and Braz's family was
from Georgia, but the two were related. Some of Braz's cousins went to Texas, but I can't recall them. (I asked about Moses Overstreet. I've heard Granny talk about Ole Moze Overstreet. I don't think he was close kin to Braz, and I don't know anything about his family.
The Overstreets at Paulding, Ovett, and those around Hattiesburg were in someway related to Braz. They go back to some of those old ones some how.
(I asked about Indian blood.) Oh yes, Granny was
one-fourth Indian.
