Dorothy L. Tovey, 88, of Gladwin, passed away Sunday Oct. 21, 2012, at Edna Mae’s Leisurely Living Foster Care following a lingering illness. She was born in Shepard on March 5, 1924, to the late Hazen and Susie (Brenner) Acker. She married Erwin Tovey on Nov. 20, 1943 in Grand Rapids; he preceded her in death in 1980. She was a devoted member of the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Paul Acker; and a sister, Catherine Bixby. Private Funeral Services were held and burial was in Sherman Twp. Cemetery. Arrangements by Sisson Funeral Home.
