One of several obituaries published at his death states that he was buried in the old cemetery on Basin Street, which would be St. Louis No. 1. For this reason, the memorial has been edited to show this. The gravesite was later covered with concrete when a street was paved. Burial information is from the obituary notices of November 16 and 17, 1903, whiich give the date of burial as November 18, 1903, and from the cemetery office records.
