Earl J. Witwer, 79, of Akron, passed away Tuesday evening at Akron City Hospital.
A life resident of Akron, he retired after 42 years with General Tire and Rubber Company and was a longtime member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Akron.
Preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carol McConnell of Manchester, Mrs. Jean Wagner of Green Twp; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marcia Thornton of Canton, and Mrs. Mildred Snyder, of Akron.
Memorial services will be Friday, 2:30 p.m., at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2254 Triplett Blvd., Akron, with pastor Arthur Beall officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church."
