Charles Edward Herbaugh, 71, of 38 Second Avenue, Ridgeley, died early yesterday at his home. He was born in Zepp, Va., June 18, 1880, and was a son of the late William and Almire (Williams) Herbaugh. A retired freight conductor for the Western Maryland Railroad, he retired in 1939 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the First Christian church, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Ridgeley Rod and Gun Club. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sadie P. (Kite) Herbaugh; three sons, Harold, Charles and Jack Herbaugh, all of Ridgeley; two daughters, Mrs. Hubert Dayton and Mrs. Anna Brinkman, also of Ridgeley, and four grandchildren. The body is at the residence where services will be held tomorrow at 3 p. m. with Rev. L. G. Bridges, pastor of Potomac Park United Brethren Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fort Ashby, W.
