YORK -- Mr. James Frank "Frank" Bratton, 72, of 522 California Circle died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fishing Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Reginald McClean officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. A native of Sharon, Mr. Bratton was a son of the late Joshua Bratton Sr. and Martha Jane Wilks Bratton. He attended York schools and worked as a forklift driver with W.N. Wood & Sons Construction. He was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, was past superintendent of the Sunday school department, was president of the usher board and was a bus driver. He was vice president of the Brotherhood and Finance Committee and was a member of the Sandy River Baptist Association Upper Division. He was a member and past master of Wilson Masonic Lodge 303 and was a member of the Wilson Eastern Chapter 207. Surviving are his wife, Natyalum Brown Bratton; two sons, Leslie Franklin Bratton of Charlotte and Reggie Bratton of Clarksville, Tenn.; four daughters, Frances Gladden of Greensboro, N.C., and Mary Feemster, Linda Bratton and Deaner Bratton, all of York; his brother, Willie Bratton of York; two sisters, Virginia Anthony of Charlotte and Lula Moore of Sharon; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Bratton.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the church. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Saturday.Wright Funeral Home is in charge.
