Roberta Reagor Strayhorn was born on July 17, 1923 to John & Mattie Reagor in Pontotoc, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lee Roy, son-in-law Buzz Costner, brothers & wives Frank & Blanche, Damon & Irene, and Cliff & Ada, and sisters & husbands Eva & Erford Norris and Ima & Lube Talley.

She is survived by daughters Frances Costner and Carol Cunningham & husband Ron, grandchildren Cheryl Regmund & husband John, Craig Dearing, Niki Cockerham & husband Shawn, Kathryn Cunningham, great grandchildren Clinton & Wesley Regmund and McKenzie, Jake & Kylie Cockerham, brother-in-law Warren (Chip) Strayhorn & wife Mildred and sister-in-law Juanita Smith. Also, numerous nieces & nephews.

Shortly after graduation from Llano High School, Roberta began a 50 year career working around the “Llano Square”. She began her first job in Dr. Bowman’s dentist office (where Arrowhead Bank is now), moved on to The Llano News (at its present location), and concluded her trip around the square while working many years at Dalchau Hutto Insurance (where Stonewall’s was).

Roberta loved not only playing sports but supporting the Llano youth in their endeavors as well. She played on the local Llano softball team until her early 50’s, and was the treasurer and ran the concession stand for Llano Little League for many years. Many who played on those teams and others still call her “Aunt Bert”.

She supported both daughters—born 21 years apart— through 36+ years of UIL and Little League sports, church activities, school band performances and was the treasurer of Band Boosters for many years. She was also a member of Lutie Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church.

Both Roberta and husband Lee Roy were recognized several years ago at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet for 50+ years of Chamber membership.
