Nick died after a strong and courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday evening. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Diana Jean, née Elias (they married 5 Apr 1993 at Monroe County, Florida) and loving father to his children Lisa (John) Maas and Daniel Cortino; cherished grandfather of Nicole, Michael and Natalie. He was also the dear brother of the late Margaret Cortino and proud uncle to his four nieces and nephew.

Russ was a successful insurance broker for over thirty years and proudly served in the National Guard. Russ' heart was one of kindness and generosity. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Services will be held at Holy Name Cathedral Thursday, September 14, with visitation at 1 p.m and memorial mass at 2 p.m.
