Kevin was my nephew, the only child of my oldest sister, Catherine J. Southern. He suffered from childhood onset diabetes from the time he was 11 years old. Kevin was the light of my sisters life and he passed away while waiting for multiple transplants. He studied at Georgetown University and became a middle school science teacher who was very loved by his students. His remains are scattered at the base of the Wallace Memorial in Stirling, Scotland, a place that he loved.
