Carl K. Miller, age 70. died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, Oct 28, 2005.
He was born on Sept 26, 1935, to Kosmas and Caroline (Pritzl) Miller on the home farm in the town of Maple Grove. He was the youngest of 15 children. He graduated from Brillion High School in 1954 and received an honorable discharge from the National Guard. He married Doris Comins on Nov. 30, 1957, at St. Mary's Church in Brillion and was employed at the Brillion Iron Works for 41 years.
He was a member of the Brillion Lions Club and a former member of the Jaycees and the Brillion City Council. He loved his family, his church, and his many wonderful friends. He also enjoyed traveling, playing golf, walking, and was an avid Brillion Lions and Green Bay Packers fan.
Carl is survived by his wife: Doris; his four children;
Denise (James) Jansch of Darboy,
Douglas (Janet) Miller of Brookfield;
Pamela (Keith) Ott of Plymouth; and
Mark (Julie) Miller of Darboy;
his 10 grandchildren: Amber (Josh) Aerts; Ashley Jansch (fiancee Matt Baumler); Nathan and Christie Ott; Andrew, Abby, Amanda and Adam Miller; and Jenessa and Jacob Miller.
He is further survived by his brother: Kosmas (Helen) Miller of Janesviile; his sisters: Sister Cosmas Miller of Holy Family Convent in Manitowoc; Marion (Bob) Hanagan of Appleton; Gertrude Sadowski of Manitowoc; Catherine (Clayton) Baeten of Kaukauna; brother-in-law: Bill Schuh of Manitowoc; sister-in-law: Agnes Miller of Whitelaw, and by a special friend of the family: Mary Kleuskens of DePere; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He is also survived by Doris brothers: Jerome (Kathleen) Comins of Appleton; and Donald (Mary Louise) Comins of Newport, Wash.; and sister-in-law: Nancy Gamroth of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Stuart and Lucille Comins; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lawrence (Anna) Miller; Norbert (Gertrude) Miller, Vincent Miller; and Philip (LaVerne) Mill; his sisters: Caroline (Ray) Lang and Josephine Schuh; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ottilia (Edward) Schuh and Marcella (Alex) Fischer; and his brothers-in-law: Simon Sadowski and Lyle Gamroth; and an infant sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Monday, Oct 31, 2005, at Holy Family Parish in Brillion, 1100 W. Ryan Road, with Father Mathew Simonar officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Brillion.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
