Age 80, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Born in Chicago on April 16, 1935, he was the son of Samuel and Mildred (nee Soubliere) Purcell. He spent his early life in Chicago where he attended school. He proudly served his country in the Army where he was stationed in Belgium and Germany and loved looking at the beautiful cathedrals there. On October 6, 1956, in Chicago, he was united in marriage. They moved to Yorkville in 1968 and Ray worked as the Power Plant Operator for Southern Wisconsin Center, retiring in 1997. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rita and Pat; brothers, Jerry and Lawrence and son-in-law, Jeff Brey.
