YORK - Emma R. Weir, 90, of York, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Rest Haven-York Nursing and Rehabilitative Center. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Weir.

The service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Weir was born Sept. 1, 1910, in Dallastown. She was the daughter of the late Tempest W. and Rebecca T. (Hess) Ness.

She was a cook at the Roosevelt Tavern, retiring after several years of service; prior to that, she worked at Eisenhart Cigar Factory. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in York.

Mrs. Weir is survived by a son, Donald E. Weir of Jacobus; two daughters, Delores J. Aldrich of Prince George, Va., and Grace R. Krouse of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a step great-grandchild; and a brother, Thomas Ness of Yoe.

Officiating at the service will be her pastors, the Rev. Judith A. McKee and the Rev. Thomas E. McKee.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 150 Jefferson Ave., York 17404.
