Born in New Britain, Conn., the son of the Rev. Samuel E. and Reba Jenkins Lawson, he was a resident of Winona many years ago when his father served the Winona Methodist Church as minister.
A graduate of Syracuse University he was employed as an advertising salesman for the Irving-Cloud Publishing Co. of New York city.
He is survived by his widow, the former Jean Logan, of the home; an uncle, Ed Jenkins of Winona; and several cousins.
