Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Arbaugh-Pearce Funeral Home for John W. Lawson, 56, of New York City who died Tuesday.
Born in New Britain, Conn., the son of the Rev. Samuel E. and Reba Jenkins Lawson, he was a resident of Winona many years ago when his father served the Winona Methodist Church as minister.
A graduate of Syracuse University he was employed as an advertising salesman for the Irving-Cloud Publishing Co. of New York city.
He is survived by his widow, the former Jean Logan, of the home; an uncle, Ed Jenkins of Winona; and several cousins.
