LANETT -- Mr. Stacey K. Abner, 34, of Lanett died Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 24 at 1 p.m. (CST) at Hopewell Baptist Church in Wadley, Ala., with the Rev. Calvin W. Trammell officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery of LaFayette.

Mr. Abner is survived by three sons, Jaquezmon R. McCray, Stacey K. Abner Jr. and Shontorious K. Abner, all of Lanett; three daughters, Kamisha C. Abner and Marsena C. Abner, both of Bogal, La., and Shakeitha K. Abner of Lanett; two sisters, Mary Joyce Cousins of Wadley and Lesia (Jesse) Lee of Roanoke; three uncles; seven aunts; three brothers, Jesse (Charlotte) Abner of Jacksonville, Fla., Eric Curtis (Angela) Abner of LaFayette and Tracy Abner of Lanett; two great-aunts; and his devoted friend, Jennifer Heard of Lanett.

Born March 6, 1967 in Randolph County Hospital, Mr. Abner was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
