Walter J. LaChappelle, 64, of Lakewood, died Thursday, July 17, at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home,Two Rivers. The Rev. Richard Bidwell will officiate and burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. LaChappelle was born Nov. 30, 1915, at Two Rivers, son of the late James and Hattie Flegle LaChappelle. He married Elaine Miller Aug. 3, 1940, at Dubugque, Iowa. She preceded him in death May 29, 1960. He married Mary Kitscher in April of 1961 at Iron River, Mich. Mr. LaChappelle was a retired mason.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Sandra) Willett of Hubertus, Wus., a step-son, Carl Kitscher of Altus, Okla., a step-daughter, Mrs. Donald DeBaere of Manitowoc, a brother, Elroy of Two Rivers, four sisters, Mrs. Alfred DuValle, Mrs. Earl Mandel and Mrs. Lloyd Staudinger of Two Rivers and Mrs. Harry Gross of Sheboygan, two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangle Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 3 p.m. Sunday.
