LIZZIE LEITL

Mrs. George Leitl, 71, nee Elizabeth Zachek, of Two Rivers, died this morning at the Two Rivers Municipal hospital, after a five weeks' illness.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Klein and Stangel Inc., funeral home, Two Rivers.

She was born on her parents' farm near Tisch Mills in 1875 and was married to George Leitl in Menominee, Mich., in 1895. Later they moved to Montana for three years and then came back to farm near Ludington, Mich., for a two-year period. Mr. Leitl then operated a tavern in Ludington for 10 years and came to Two Rivers in 1916 where he purchased the dance hall and tavern on the northen Two Rivers limits, which he later named the American hall.

Since her husband's death five years ago, Mrs. Leitl has made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Ross Timm, the present operator of the hall.

Survivors include on daughter, Mrs. Timm, and one sister, Mrs. John Chalupney of the town of Gibson. There are two grandsons (Survivors omitted for privacy.)
