Gladys D. Abney of Cleveland formerly of Austell passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 in a Cleveland health facility. She was born in Tallapoosa, June 23, 1916, daughter of the late Benjamin Abney and Margaret McCray Abney. Miss Abney was a retiree of the Atlantic Service Company, where she was an office clerk and she was a member of the Collins Memorial Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Monroe and two brothers, Jeff Abney and Frank Abney.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois Edwards and Mary Newman of Cleveland and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, August 12 at 1:00 PM from the graveside in Edwards Cemetery, Buchanan with Reverend Buddy Gentry officiating. Tracy Abney will furnish music for the graveside.
