Erma J. Payne, 92, of Phoenix, NY, (Hinmansville), passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Born in the town of Granby, to her late parents, Eva (Crocker) Maddock and George Maddock on November 1, 1922. She was a former member of Phoenix United Methodist Church. Erma was employed by Sealright Corp., Fulton, and Syrocco Co., Van Buren. Predeceased by her husband, Floyd; four sisters and one brother. Surviving are her two sons, Dennis Payne, and Larry (Linda) Payne, both of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Jamey, Jodie, Tracy, and Tricia; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Jerry, Anthony, Lyndsey, Carly, Joshua, Sarah, and Angeleena; one great-great-grandson, Damian; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services only are on Friday, August 7, at 11 a.m. in Chase Cemetery, 9450 State Route 48, Phoenix, NY 13135. Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, has care of arrangements.
