Daughter of Hollywood actor Alan Ladd and silent film star and agent, Sue Carol.
She did some acting in TV and films such as "Duel of Champions" (1961), "77 Sunset Strip" (1958) and "Guns of the Timberland" (1960) before her marriage to British-born talk radio host Michael Jackson in 1965.
Alana was stricken with a stroke around 2001 which limited her mobility for the rest of her life.
She and Michael Jackson were parents of three children, Alan Jackson, Alisa Jackson Lipton, and Devon Jackson, and grandparents of 5 grandchildren, all of whom survive her.
She was also survived by brother David Ladd and half-brother Alan Ladd Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half-sister, Carol Lee Stuart Ladd Anderson.
