He belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was an active man earlier in life that loved going bowling and playing bingo with his wife. Later in life he enjoyed watching sports on TV, playing cards at the casino, and attending the sporting events of his great-grandchildren Jalen and Jensen Handy.
He is survived by his daughter Diana McCorkle of Albany, son Kevin Handy and wife Jennifer of Albany, daughter Esther Pedro of Reno, NV, and daughter Pat Inouye of Keizer; numerous grandchildren one of whom he was like a father to Jason McCorkle of Albany; and many great-grandchildren.
