Shreveport,LA- Funeral services for Perry Gregory Holloway, born in Tulsa, OK on April 13, 1927, will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Broadmoor Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA. Dr. Tom Harrison and Dr. Scott Tatum will be officiating. The family will receive friends during a viewing at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Mr. Holloway went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 15, 2015.
Mr. Holloway was a veteran having served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Shreveport Geological Society. He was a past director and Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of The University Club of Shreveport, and had served on the Board of Directors of the Shreveport Petroleum Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Gregory J. Holloway and Denzil Mary McCrackin of Tulsa, OK.
Mr. Holloway is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, JoAnn; sons, Randall Wayne Holloway of Jacksonville, FL and Ray Holloway of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Mary Beth Haughton and husband Wade of Shreveport; brothers, Alvis Holloway and Paul Holloway and wife Beth; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Woody Schick, Mike Woodard, Larry Teague, Earl Lindanger, Tommy Reid and Wade Haughton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Mr. Holloway's Sunday School Class at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Dr., Shreveport, LA 71105, or to the charity of your choice.
